From this evening, the ball will be rolling again and 24 nations will compete for the title of European football champions for a month. Football fans among you have surely been looking forward to the tournament in France for weeks. And many of you will not be satisfied with public viewing or watching at home on the television, but will lace up your football boots to kick the round ball yourselves.

You are never too old for football - from the youngest youth teams to the veterans (or veteran women), the game captivates everyone. Plenty of running, teamwork and strong emotions make football a sport that has a lot to offer and keeps the body fit. As with any physically demanding sport, football can naturally also lead to all kinds of bumps and injuries in the heat of the moment.
The same applies to amateur athletes and professional footballers: It is always worthwhile to be prepared. There is a range of products, for example, for the initial treatment of minor sports injuries as well as for the follow-up treatment and therapy of injured or irritated muscles, ligaments and joints.
Cooling & warming - relief for strained limbs and muscles
Whether playing with friends in the park or for a club - injuries can always happen. From bruises and sprains to a serious headache after winning a header, the rule is: Cooling the affected area can reduce swelling and relieve pain.
Cold sprays - Fast and effective
Cold or ice sprays can be sprayed directly onto the injured area of the body and immediately cool the skin's surface intensely. This reduces nerve conductivity, meaning that pain or cramps can be reliably suppressed. By the way, painful insect bites can also be treated with cold spray.
When using ice sprays, make sure to apply the spray from a safe distance of 30 cm. Under no circumstances should it be sprayed on mucous membranes or open wounds.
Cooling compresses - long-lasting effect
When time is of the essence, instant cold packs are a good choice. These practical cooling packs contain an inner pouch with a mixture of calcium ammonium nitrate and water. Applying firm pressure to the pack ruptures the inner pouch, causing the escaping liquid to produce an immediate cooling effect that lasts for up to twenty minutes. Instant cold packs are ideal for cooling bruises or sprains as quickly as possible.
Hot-cold compresses, on the other hand, can be brought to the desired temperature in the refrigerator or freezer and maintain it consistently for around 20 minutes. They are particularly suitable for cooling injuries over a longer period. An application should not last longer than twenty minutes, and breaks of around 30 minutes should be taken between applications. This is intended to prevent frostbite of the skin.
Hot-cold compresses can of course also be warmed in hot water, for example, to relax tense muscles.
It is also recommended to pull nonwoven covers over the hot-cold compresses to create a soft protective layer between the skin and the compress. Suitable nonwoven covers are available for all compress sizes.
Practical cooling sets for footballers and other athletes
Anyone who wants to have all the aids for cooling minor injuries and refreshing themselves after the game conveniently together while playing can use practical athletes' cooling and massage sets. Depending on the set, they contain cold spray, hot-cold compresses or refreshing massage oils.
For an optimal healing process - supports & splints
Football is a physically demanding sport. Since injuries such as ligament strains and tears or even bone fractures can occur from time to time, a wide range of supports, splints and orthoses has been developed. With the help of modern bandage shoes and supports for the arms, feet, knees and shoulder joints as well as neck and back supports, those affected can enjoy the greatest possible mobility even during the healing process.
Enjoy the games and stay healthy!
Of course, we hope that you do not suffer any injuries in the first place. After all, fun and fairness should be the priorities when good friends or sporting rivals meet to play football. Nevertheless, it is good to know that quick and effective measures can be taken in an emergency when the right aids are close at hand.
With this in mind, the entire team at Medicalcorner24® wishes you many wonderful days, sunny weather and that you always score one more goal than the others.
